Do you wanna see my Peacocks?

Here's the finished outcome of DMC's Peacock Courtship. I find it odd though that a peacock would court another peacock. Maybe it's a show off contest between the two of them. Anyway, here's the finish.

Exotic Fruits

Here's a design from DMC called Exotic Fruits. It features, well, exotic fruits. I see golden and green pears, red and green apples, grapes, rambutans, persimmons and berries. I don't think the title is very appropriate though as the only fruit I could classify as exotic is the rambutan. For those who don't know what rambutans are, they're like the hairy cousins of lychees. The look, feel and taste similar. You also eat them the same way it's just that the skin of the rambutan is covered in hair-like spikes.

Chinese Waterfalls

Here is another great cross stitch design: Chinese Waterfalls.
The Chinese have long regarded the waterfalls as auspicious or lucky charm and paintings of waterfalls are common in Chinese households. Water is regarded as wealth in the Chinese Culture so waterfalls mean wealth pouring into the household.

Here is a great guide on where to put your finished piece. (Scroll down past the photos)

This is a photo of the actual finished item:

Free Cross Stitch Pattern - 025-AL Proud Peacock

Here's a brand new free downloadable cross stitch chart. It's entitled "Proud Peacock" and it features a photo-realistic peacock with its tail opened in full glory. Now let me warn you, this chart is not your typical chart. It has so many confetti stitches and would definitely test your limits. But I'm pretty sure all the effort will be worth it once you finish it.

Peacocks are the national bird of several Asian countries like India and Indonesia, and I believe that they are rightfully the king of birds in these countries. Their tails on full display definitely exude confidence and regal bearing that can not be found on other birds. I hope you like this free printable cross stitch pattern.
