Anyway, to my readers who are not familiar with Mayon Volcano, it is considered the most beautiful mountain in the world owing to its perfect cone shape. From any angle, the mountain is just perfectly symmetrical. I have personally seen the mountain from various view points and it is a true beauty. But don't let its looks fool you. The volcano is very dangerous. It is very active and it erupts every couple of years. In fact, the church bell tower you see above is what remains of the entire town of Cagsawa when it was buried in volcanic debris during the 1814 eruption of Mayon.

Monument Valley in Cross Stitch

I'm featuring a finished cross stitch design. It's of the Monument Valley in Utah. Stitched on 10 ct. white Aida, this massive design features a beautiful panoramic view of the famous Monument Valley. For those of you who don't know what Monument Valley is, it's a Navajo Tribal Park located in Utah. It has been the setting of many western movies like those of John Wayne. It also is featured in the movie Forrest Gump.
