Free Vintage Monogram Alphabet Cross Stitch Chart - Letter A

Framed elaborate monograms would make wonderful and unique gifts to friends and family. This particular one is of the letter A. The sample was stitched on light gray fabric using medium gray thread and framed using gray wallpaper with gold lining and ornate, antique-looking silver black frame.

The good thing about stitching monograms is that you can use whatever thread and fabric you have. The custom frame shouldn't be too costly since its very small. Still, you can use ready-made frames, or even flea market finds for that truly one-of-kind gift

Threading Your Needle With Paper

Here's an nifty trick on threading your tapestry needle. Just cut out a piece of paper around two inches long and a quarter inch wide. Fold it in half cross wise and insert your thread inside paper. Then put the paper through the eye of the needle. Pull the paper to get the thread through and you have just threaded your needle. You can keep your threader for more uses and it's very easy to make.
